Julio Barkan:

Photography has been part of Julio’s life for decades. Back in the 1970s, he worked as a photographer for Peter Pan Studios. creating long lasting memories of little ones and families. A few years later, started his own wedding and milestone business capturing events with film cameras and classic portrait techniques. Those early years gave him a deep appreciation for storytelling through images—a passion that never left him.

Now, as both a husband to his wife Karen and a proud father of three daughters, and grandfather to sixteen, he knows firsthand just how quickly the seasons of family life pass. That personal perspective drives his work: he understands the value of freezing time, not just for today, but for generations to come.

With his calm, steady presence and years of experience, Julio has a knack for making families feel comfortable in front of the lens. He’s especially gifted at noticing the small, authentic moments—an unexpected laugh, a hand squeeze, a fleeting glance—that often become the most treasured photos.

For him, photography is more than a job; it’s a way of honoring love, family, and connection—something he’s lived and cherished throughout his own story.

Kathie’s life revolves around family, love, and creating lasting memories. As a wife to Tim, a dedicated first responder, and a proud mother of seven daughters, she understands the joy and chaos that come with family life—and embraces it fully.

Her passion for photography grew from that love of family, and she cherishes the opportunity to celebrate connection, growth, and the everyday moments that make life meaningful. With warmth, patience, and a genuine heart, Kathie brings her own experience as a mom and wife to every session, making families feel at ease and understood.
